Yesterday R4i sdhc 3ds official site r4i-sdhc.com has released a new firmware update, they updated the r4i sdhc 3ds firmware version from V1.64b to V1.65b with the changelog below

R4i V1.65b Update:

1. Support RTS (Realtime save features).

2. Support RTG (Realtime guide features). Support text and picture type.

- Text type: txt, file name same as game file name.

- Picture type: bmp, file name same as game file name. Size:256x192

3. Support 3DS V4.5

*Remark: RTS, RTG features only applicable for the new card which label RTS.

Notice: this firmware is just for the r4i sdhc 3ds card and r4i sdhc rts card, it is not a patch for your old card to work on V1.45 and 3DS V4.5.0-10. currently the r4i sdhc 3ds team haven't released the update patch yet, so if you still use the old card, please do not update your 3ds to the new firmware, and if your card is already the R4i sdhc 3ds V4.5 or even the latest r4i sdhc rts version, then just use this new firmware to enjoy more features.

Just download it from the official site, extract it and get the firmware files. then put all the firmware files on the root of your sd card. then start playing.

If you plan to buy a r4i sdhc 3ds card for your 3ds or dsi card, make sure the verison is r4i sdhc V4.5 or r4i sdhc rts version, so it is the latest version and also can work on your latest 3DS firmware.
