West New York, New Jersey, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 21, 2011 --

A good resume would help you get your dream job. However, the resumes are written with a specific purpose of catering to the particular job requirement. Most of the resumes are similar in terms of content, format, etc. However, government resumes differ from general resumes in terms of information included in the resume. A government resume, used for applying to government jobs, generally requires more detailed information, as compared to other employers. While applying for federal or government jobs, you mostly need to draft your resume as per the chronological resume format. Thus, the resume would emphasize more on academics and achievements.

The criterion of experience is not mandatory for all positions in the government job. Usually they select individuals after they have cleared certain exams, or on the basis of academic criteria.

The most important criterion for this resume is that it must include only the information the employer asks for. Mentioning the same in the format asked by them is again important. Not just academics, but professional experience also holds importance in this resume.

Government resume would need some additional information like – Nationality, economic details, etc. However, they would mention the same in the requirement put forth by them. Thus, one must make sure that he/she provides all the required information.

Another point that needs to be considered while writing a government resume is that, usually they need the resume to be in a particular format, and provide a sequence of information for the same. Make sure that you draft your resume as per the said format, and put forth all the information in the said sequence. At times, they also would require some information to be presented in block letters, bold format, etc. Following these instructions is a must for sending your resume for such jobs.

Go ahead, and draft a resume that would get you your desired federal or government job.
