HTK wins place on £500m Local Government software framework

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 4, 2012 -- HTK has been awarded a place on a £500m Local Government Software Application Solutions framework agreement.

The framework, designed specifically to meet the needs of local government, provides an efficient and cost effective route to purchase software in areas such as planning, social care, the environment and public protection. It is available for use by public bodies including local authorities, NDPBs, education establishments, police forces, NHS bodies, registered social landlords, third sector organisations and charities.

There are 39 suppliers in total, ranging from multi-national to SME organisations, providing services through the nine Lots of the framework agreement.

Following their response to an Invitation to Tender from the Government Procurement Service, HTK has won a place on 3 LGSAS framework lots:

- Social Care & Education - Libraries, Museums and Leisure related Software Application Solutions

- Communities - Social Housing Software Application Solutions

- Environment & Public Protection - Waste and Environmental Health Software Application Solutions

As a result of this award, the HTK Horizon software-as-a-service product can now be procured directly through the LGSAS framework. HTK Horizon enables low-cost citizen contact and business process automation through smart use of digital contact channels including email, SMS texting, IVR voice automation, web forms, Twitter and Facebook.

HTK already provides community messaging software application solutions to customers including Birmingham City Council, Suffolk and Norfolk Constabularies and the Metropolitan Police.
