HumanaNatura Launches Rigorous New Community Health Program

The new program is designed to support community-based health and quality of life advocacy, across a variety of potential contributors, in cities and towns of all sizes around the world.

HumanaNatura's Community Health Program moves beyond traditional conceptions of public health promotion and creates a new model for scientifically-based community health advocacy, bringing community health efforts to a new and far more integrated level than ever before.

The new HumanaNatura program includes a 70-page guide to community health promotion and a 125-factor community assessment tool. Together, these resources allow for the scoring of the health of individual cities and towns against key benchmarks, and guide targeted actions to improve community health levels. The HumanaNatura approach encompasses multiple health-related areas, including medical care, nutrition, infrastructure and planning, community spacial characteristics, land use, education, economic development, community environment, and ecological sustainability.

HumanaNatura’s Community Health Program is based on its rigorous new twelve-part community health model, focusing progressive attention on all essential contributors to community health and quality of life:
