The little girl was sexually physically and emotionally abused by many people around her who were able to hide behind the security of Ireland’s Catholic Church-run institutions. She also suffered at the hands of other people around them who they called their friends.

“I have wanted to write this book for over 15 years, but I have been too tormented and confused by my past to do so and I don’t understand why all this happened to me. I was abused by the very people who were supposed to look after me and since then I have trusted no one. But now, I want to tell the world that what happened to me wasn’t my fault, so that I can hold my head up high and not be judged and condemned by what other people done to me. That is why I had to write this book now, to hopefully make me feel better about myself and to show everyone that I am not damaged goods and no good to anyone.
