ID TECH Introduces PCI 2.1 Certified Sign&Pay Terminal

The newest addition to ID TECH’s SL Secure Line of encrypted products, the Sign&Pay is a command-driven peripheral that contains an encrypted magstripe card reader, a PIN pad, and an easy-to-access signature capture pad. By combining these three essential payment technologies, the Sign&Pay offers merchants a complete payment solution. The Sign&Pay’s magstripe reader features ID TECH’s SecureHead, which encrypts the card data as it is being read. The PCI 2.1 certified Sign&Pay supports both TDES and AES data encryption algorithms with derived unique key per transaction (DUKPT) key management. In addition to encrypting swiped card data and PIN entries, it also encrypts manually keyed-in card data, providing extra security for when a card is not present or cannot be read. The keys are recessed and are protected by a privacy shield for maximum privacy. The Sign&Pay also features a 3.5-inch QVGA color LCD screen for both digital signage and signature capture capabilities.

With advancing payment technology, the Sign&Pay has the capability of accepting contactless payments with an optional ID TECH Xpress CM100 contactless reader module. The Xpress CM100 supports MiFare and contactless payment including the Visa payWave, MasterCard PayPass, American Express ExpressPay, and Discover Zip platforms. By adding the contactless module, merchants will be able to accept payments from contactless payment cards, NFC cell phones, and other contactless communication devices.
