IDA Marketing Services Associates Coached How to Increase Sales 200% to 500%

Groups of IDA Marketing Services associates are being trained in best practices for increasing sales 200% to 500% in order to assist IDA associates to achieve their business and financial goals.

Ira Goodman, Ph.D., a social psychologist who has been involved in MLM for more than 6 years, but is not affiliated with IDA, provides the training material.

Dr. Goodman addresses many of the pitfalls of traditional MLM sales/marketing approaches such as selling to a list of friends, family and associates; the use of replicated websites provided to associates; and the use of autoresponders.

For example, Dr. Goodman points out that autoresponders save time but, “The downside is that you may lose sales. The reason you may lose sales is that the key time to make a sale to somebody or to create a relationship with them is when they’re on your website. When they’re interested in what you have and are looking at it very carefully is the time to connect with the prospect.”

He goes on to say that, “After an initial contact with a prospect, it usually takes 5 to 7 additional contacts before someone makes a purchase, after building trust with you and your offering. An autoresponder can send out the desired 5 to 7 messages. But for various reasons, many of those messages have no impact on the prospect. This may be because a spam filter or the prospect removes the message.”

The approach Dr. Goodman recommends, based on extensive research, is to have a human being make contact with the prospect.

Some of the concerns raised by associates about this approach are: “I’m not comfortable talking to strangers.” Or, “I don’t have the time to put in to be there.” Or, “How can I talk to the prospect while they’re on my website?”

Dr. Goodman points out highly effective systems that make this possible are available and associates don’t have to do it themselves. In fact, they can be totally passive, earn money and build their businesses.

He recommends a trial run of such a system to experience how powerful and beneficial it can be. When a live salesperson contacts a prospect while they’re on a website and then a salesperson follows-up, there’s a much higher likelihood of a purchase being made. In fact, statistics show that using a typical approach with autoresponders, the purchase conversion rate is only 2%-5%.

Using the personal approach, the purchase conversion rate can be 10%. That’s a 200%-500% increase in sales. The return on investment can be as much as 400%.
