Ignite Phoenix Invites Community Members to Submit Presentation Ideas for Ignite Phoenix 6 on March 30, 2010
Tempe, AZ February 25, 2010 – What would you say if you had five minutes to tell the story you are most passionate about to an eager audience? Ignite Phoenix and the greater Phoenix metropolitan area wants to know.
The Ignite Phoenix program announces its sixth community presentation night on Tuesday, March 30th from 6 PM to 9 PM at the Mesa Arts Center, 1 East Main Street in Mesa, Arizona. This presentation night features 18 diverse speakers on a wide range of topics, each with five minutes to light a creative fire with the audience drawn from the business, creative, and technical community of Phoenix.
Ignite Phoenix is part of the Ignite program conducted in major cities across the world that brings together diverse people for an evening of information exchange. “We all have a spark that gets us excited, and Ignite provides a forum for people to share it,” says Jeff Moriarty, Gilbert resident and Ignite Phoenix founder. “The Valley is so spread out it can be hard to connect people with similar passions. Ignite fosters connections that lead attendees to meet new people and bring new ideas into their life.”
The result is an evening that educates, inspires, and entertains the audience and connects previously insulated groups with new ideas, people, and resources. The short presentation length of five minutes adds to the dynamic nature of the Ignite Phoenix presentation night. Attendees hear 18 passionate speakers talking about their projects in a single evening with networking time to allow for informal follow-up.
How Can I Make A Presentation?
If you have a topic to share with the Ignite Phoenix community, complete the submission form before 5 PM on February 26, 2010. To learn more about Ignite Phoenix, to submit a presentation proposal, or to get more details about attending the March 30 event, see the Ignite Phoenix website. You can sign up for email updates, or join the Ignite Phoenix community by following IgnitePhoenix on Twitter, becoming a fan of Ignite Phoenix on Facebook, or joining the Ignite Phoenix group on LinkedIn.
“Ignite Phoenix is one of those things that has to be experienced. I say experienced because it is more than just sitting in a venue for a few hours listening to people talk about their ideas. Ignite is a collision of communities uniting out of the desire to discover, to absorb and most of all to involve others in what they are most passionate about. You leave Ignite inspired, not only by what you’ve been part of but also to delve deeper into your own interests – to develop yourself and your community in ways that may not have occurred to you before”, says volunteer organizer Oden Hughes.
