Louisville, KY – July 12, 2010 – Imaging Advantage LLC, a nationally-recognized radiology managed services company, today announced the successful launch of diagnostic radiology services at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, a 298-bed primary care hospital offering advanced treatment in orthopedic care, cardiac care, medical imaging, surgical and emergency care. The hospital’s Emergency Department is the second busiest in the City of Louisville, and the fifth busiest in the State of Kentucky.
Services provided by Imaging Advantage radiologists include subspecialty interpretations, 24 hour final “reads” and – uniquely – a trial program for onsite radiologist coverage 24 hours-a-day, seven days-aweek, to support and bolster the work of the hospital’s Emergency Department (Imaging Advantage’s “CORS” or “Continuous Onsite Radiology Services”).
Ken Johnson, COO of Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, described the radiology selection process. “The hospital solicited proposals from multiple radiology groups, prior to selecting Imaging Advantage. In our opinion, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital is a unique institution with specific needs generated by our Emergency Department and our Women’s Center which offers a full-range of specialty imaging capabilities. We pride ourselves on our partnerships with quality medical groups who share our desire to provide services of outstanding quality to our community.”
Imaging Advantage is a market leader in providing comprehensive radiology solutions to hospitals, imaging centers and radiology groups. Imaging Advantage offers practice management, board-certified Radiologists on-site, day and night final “read” subspecialty teleradiology, and quality assurance utilizing the American College of Radiology RadPeertm certified “QA” program. Imaging Advantage also has an exclusive world-wide contract with Massachusetts General Hospital for 3D post processing services, offering Imaging Advantage’s clients the latest innovations in imaging technologies.
Dr. Raymonda Stevens, a diagnostic and women’s imaging radiologist from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine who joined Imaging Advantage’s practice from the radiology group that previously serviced Sts. Mary & Elizabeth, stated that “the transition to Imaging Advantage was organized, efficient, and rewarding. In particular, the company’s workflow management solutions and emphasis on customer service has enabled more time for me to interact with referring physicians and to help build the practice. Imaging Advantage’s comprehensive approach has been a win-win for all involved: for the hospital, the radiologists and other medical staff, and most importantly, for the patients.”
Mr. Johnson commented further, “We believe our patients and referring physicians should receive the most comprehensive medical imaging technology and the highest level of professional expertise, which is just one of the reasons we selected Imaging Advantage.”
