Impactful Women Association Appoints New Counsel and Board Member

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 8, 2010 -- November 8, 2010--Morris County, New Jersey, Impactful Women Association (“IWA”) appoints Ms. Marisa Kussoy, Esq. as their new Counsel and Board Member.

As the Counsel of IWA, Ms. Kussoy's responsibilities include providing legal advice and support to advance IWA's mission and vision. She will work closely with the IWA's Board of Directors.

Marisa Kussoy's practice focuses on representation of health care providers and entities in various areas of health care law, including guardianships, discharge planning issues, licensure issues, electronic medical records, HIPAA compliance, professional negligence and general liability matters. Prior to joining Weber Gallagher, Ms. Kussoy was a partner with Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, a general-practice firm in central New Jersey. She clerked with the Hon. Jared D. Honigfeld, New Jersey Superior Court - Law Division. Ms. Kussoy was recognized as a "Rising Star" by New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

She has received a BV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Ms. Kussoy graduated from Hofstra University School of Law, J.D., 1997 and University of Wisconsin-Madison, B.A., 1994 and she is fluent in Spanish.

She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. Member of the New Jersey District XII Ethics Committee (Union County), American Health Lawyers Association, the American, New Jersey, Essex County and Union County Bar Associations and the Arthur T. Vanderbilt Inn of Court.
