1. Always employ a diffuser to dam out the cruel light falling on the flower in bright sunlight.
2. Try and take pictures of flowers on overcast days.
3. Blur the backdrop to permit your subject to stand out in your picture. Try employing a macro lens or a massive aperture to attain a tiny depth of field.
4. Avoid breezy days to avoid action blurring.

5. Glance at the composition, have you correctly framed your subject? Try the 3rds rule and have your flower in the bottom or to the right of the picture.
6. Experiment in inclement weather conditions. Frost adds additional impact to your pictures.
