Armed with a plethora of invaluable knowledge and experience gained through Goldman Sachs and Warren Buffett’s program called, 10,000 Small Businesses,” Manhattan Home Design is taking the online furniture retailing business by storm.
From the moment Daniel Levy, an Argentine-born entrepreneur, learned of his acceptance into the program, he knew his business was on the brink of something spectacular. “It was a small-business owner’s dream,” Levy says. And dream big he did. As Warren Buffett, of Berkshire Hathaway stated, “Our guiding principle in this country is equality of opportunity and 10,000 Small Businesses is a big part of that.” Levy finished negotiations he had begun prior to the program beginning with New York City agencies to supply outdoor furniture for the city’s highest pedestrian traffic areas including: Times Square, Herald Square and Bryant Park.
With the tools gained in the program, Manhattan Home Design has signed new contracts, witnessed their sales jump 500%, been featured in Fortune Magazine and The Daily News, and are recently in talks to meet with CNN en Español. Proving that the company has been forever changed and the benefits of the program served, immeasurable.
Although all of the aforementioned is true, Manhattan Home Design’s products sell themselves. Manhattan Home Design provides well-designed, well-made, iconic designs at affordable prices. Each piece is manufactured by a trusted supplier and delivered by Manhattan Home Design’s dedicated team.
With the program still in just its second year of a five year run, Daniel knows that there is still much more to be learned and implemented. As evident when Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to President Obama, spoke at the 10,000 small businesses graduation, this program is very important for creating opportunities in America. That is one thing that Levy has become very passionate about and is currently working with organizations throughout New York City - creating opportunities for success as he was once given.
As John F. Kennedy once said, “To those whom much is given, much is expected.”
And Daniel Levy does not take that lightly.
