USI of India, a think tank, which also runs courses on International UN peacekeeping and correspondence courses for officers of India's armed forces taking the entrance examination for the Defence Services Staff College and promotions, has recommended reading the Indian Military Review (IMR) monthly magazine on national defence, homeland security, military technology and modernisation.
In a letter addressed individually to all officers enrolled with the Institute, the USI said that for officers to keep themselves aware of the situation around them, IMR was a useful magazine and should be read regularly.
IMR is published from New Delhi and is edited by a board comprising an air marshal, three major generals, a navy commodore and two engineers. Maj Gen RK Arora is the executive editor. He was formerly the head of Red Forces Branch at the Army Training Command, Shimla.
