Meenakshi Jha's present collection titled “ Cheherey (faces)” is a contemplation of various faces of everyday life and lifestyle. She has defined them more through static facial expressions of the “masks (mukhauta)”, laced within the traditional intricacies of madhubani style. The colours are vibrant. The pallete majorly comprises of reds, oranges, yellows and blues. Very minute and fine lines scattered throughout the canvass, reminds one of roots. They are evident of the years of experiments and practice, which has matured and culminated into a habit and second nature . The works are a result of matured responses to social actions and contemporarisation of subjects.

Inspired by the intricate simplicity of the folk art, which she inherited and the vibrancy of modern masters, which she admires, her present collection “ Cheherey (faces)” is yet again a re-optimization of herself in her own style. Her signature style is yet again an example of balanced influences of the past and present.

Every piece of her work has minute and intricate detailing which reflects the skill and multiple layering/patching on selective areas reflects the understanding of the pallete and mood. Most of the paintings in her present collection is in square format and varies within the range of 18X18 to 22X22 inches.
