Innoband Introduces HomePlug AV Wireless N Access Point Network Extension Kit

San Jose, CA – Innoband Technologies, Inc., a well known telecom and networking device supplier, today introduces its HomePlug AV Wireless N Access Point Network Extension Kit.

United States of America -- Free-Press-Release.com-- Feb 4, 2010 -- San Jose, CA – December 3, 2009 – Innoband Technologies, Inc., a well known telecom and networking device supplier, today introduces its HomePlug AV plus Wireless N Access Point Network Extension kit. The kit includes one Innoband HomePlug AV 200P-I1 and one HomePlug AV/802.11n Access Point 210P-I1.

The kit is based on Innoband’s highly successful HomePlug AV unit but also includes an integrated 802.11n wireless AP. It combines HomePlug AV and 802.11n technologies. The packaged solution uses the property’s AC electricity circuits to expand reach of a local area network and enables anyone to setup a remote hotspot in a home or office. This package resolves dead wireless spots often present due to thick walls and multiple levels. The technology also allows for the installation of additional 210P-I1 units to accomplish complete wireless coverage even for larger properties or offices. It is now possible to work in a backyard gazebo or out building that has a power outlet and not have to worry about a weak wireless signal from the in-house wireless router.

“We believe we are the first company to offer such a product in the US,” said Davis Chiu, Innoband’s Director of Product Marketing. “This package solves wireless reach issue experienced by some property owners. Our solution combines the best of the HomePlug and wireless worlds.”

HomePlug AV technology allows the two Innoband devices to connect at 200Mbps via the AC power line. The integrated 802.11n Access Point supports connect rate of up to 150Mbps. Sustainable wireless transmission rate of up to 80Mbps was achieved at 100 feet distance using an off-the-counter 802.11n USB dongle.

“We are very happy with the performance,” said Carol Huang, Innoband’s Vice-President. “The excellent throughput performance we were able to achieve translates to rock solid video streaming and VoIP calls that are becoming even more popular these days.”

A video showing how easy it is to set up the kit is available at the following URL: http://www.innoband.com/innoflash/210P.html.

The MSRP for the kit is $199. It is available online at Amazon.com.
