Kevin Bracken, the Victorian secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA), Victorian Trades Hall Council president, and Secretary of the Australian UFO Spotters Association, has revealed in a media interview that in his opinion the terrorist attacks in New York on 11 September 2001 were the result of a conspiracy.

Based on his own extensive eight-year study of data contained on Wikipedia and clues outlined on a range of credible investigative websites - such as ‘Alien Presence Revealed!’ and ‘Jewish Bankers Exposed!’ - Bracken said that evidence the World Trade Centre towers collapsed from heat caused by flaming aviation fuel “simply didn’t add up.”

Bracken said his research had been supported by an experiment conducted under supervision from ’Jonno’ and ‘Chooka’ of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union.

The experiment involved the construction of two model 767 jets from old Corn Flake boxes that were fitted with engines fashioned from disposable cigarette lighters.

The models ere painted with American Airlines livery, attached to fishing line and steered into the 3-meter high 8-Hour Day memorial, which Bracken had previously calculated as a perfect scale equivalent of the World Trade Centre.

“The lighter fluid ignited but the memorial remained standing, proving beyond any doubt that an 82,000kg aircraft travelling at 400kph can be crashed into a 110-floor building without any significant structural damage - apart from scorch marks on the façade.”

Bracken also called into question the existence of the man that most people credit with leading the organization that planned the attacks, Osama bin Laden.

“If this man actually exists why haven’t we ever seen him except on video?” asked Bracken.

“Am I the only person puzzled by the fact that bin Laden and former US President George W. Bush have never been photographed together? Could it be that the so-called Saudi uber-terrorist is none other than Bush with a fake beard and a tatty old bed sheet?”

Bracken is no stranger to controversy and has claimed previously that former Prime Minister Harold Holt did not drown off Victoria’s Cheviot Beach in 1967 but rendezvoused with a Chinese submarine and remains a secret member of the Chinese Politburo.

At last year’s ALP National Conference he claimed to have evidence that the 1969 lunar landings were filmed in an abandoned donut shop in Beverley Hills.

And in 2008 he told a trade union conference that several thousand unemployed Turkish theatre students staged the 1915 landing at ANZAC Cove.

However his most controversial claim to date was made at the MUA annual picnic in 2006 when he told the crowd that former Prime Minister John Howard comes from the planet Delta-7 in the Andromeda Galaxy.

To date Howard has not denied the allegation.

Bracken also admitted that he plans to join with the head of Investigative Politics and Paranormal Phenomena at the Vote Smart Democracy Institute, Emeritus Professor Festus Scrötal, to lobby the government and opposition to launch a fresh inquiry into the events of 9/11.

Scrötal, who in recent years has developed a reputation as one of the world’s leading psychic investigators, conceded that he was initially hesitant to cooperate with a member of a trade union because of the International Labour Oraganisation’s role in spreading the Ebola Virus, but had been convinced of the need to unite with Bracken and the MUA to discover the “truth behind 9/11”.

“People initially laughed at me when I said the Freemasons killed Kennedy!” said Scrötal, who is also a well-known Holocaust denier and has written a book on the link between the Bermuda Triangle and the North American obesity epidemic.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who called Bracken’s comments on 9/11 “stupid”, said there was ‘no way” the government would undertake its own investigation into the attacks on the World Trade Centre.

Bracken told Vote Smart that Gillard’s response only proved she had something to hide. He also challenged her to “come clean” on her role in the 1937 Hindenburg disaster.
