As the primary income earner in the family, Tammy was not working for shoe-money, but had to make money fast. Her first endeavor painfully failed. With no cushion left and facing going back to the cubicle world “ she rolled up her sleeves with one last breath of determination.

Tammy discovered that the reason for the failure of her first business was that she had no knowledge of marketing, more specifically Internet marketing. She learned everything she could about marketing a successful business, including how to leverage the Internet to accelerate the process. It paid off; going into the second endeavor she was able to make the business profitable quickly. Then after working with several clients she made the realization that there were many other entrepreneurs that didn't understand marketing and this was the root of their struggle as well. It was then she decided to write the book, Yanking Bootstraps.

The book serves as a what-not-do as well as a map to success. However the book is for more than business advice. It is written to give the reader comfort, comfort she couldn't find when she needed it the most. Yet it also gives burst of humor when not expected. It was important to Tammy that the reader not only gets a great education but also feel a personal connection to her as the author.

The strategies she shares are straight to the point and poised for quick use. The 96-page book is a purposely-short read. Designed with the short-attention-spanned entrepreneur in mind. About the author: Tammy is a broadly experienced marketing consultant, business strategist, and

entrepreneur mentor who has had the opportunity to consult with companies all over the globe. She is an expert at identifying new ways to leverage the Internet for marketing gain.

Recently, Tammy re-launched her company under a different name, Perfect Marketing Equation.com. In this new role she teaches entrepreneurs marketing tactics to grow their

businesses. In addition she consults with small businesses on their marketing strategies.
