Integra Realty Resources' Sherwood receives Tandy Award from SCR

Donald J. Sherwood, Managing Director of the Fort Worth office of Integra Realty Resources, is the 2011 winner of the Charles D. Tandy Commercial REALTOR Award from the Society of Commercial Realtors.

The award is presented to an SCR member who best exemplifies the highest professional standards for a commercial realtor. The award was established in 1990 and named to honor Tandy for his outstanding leadership and his legacy of investing in and contributing to the Fort Worth community.

“It is truly a great honor,” Sherwood said. “The ideals of professionalism as a Commercial Realtor exemplified by the past recipients set a high standard for me to live up to. Charles Tandy was a great asset to our community and his leadership helped Fort Worth grow into the vibrant and diverse city we see today.”

Sherwood is a previous winner of the Balfour Award by the International Right of Way Association (IRWA). It is the highest honor bestowed upon an IRWA member.

Sherwood has been an appraiser of all types of real property and been actively engaged in real estate valuation and consulting since 1978. He received his MAI designation in 1983 and his SR/WA designation in 2004. He has a Master's in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University and is a member of the national faculty for the Appraisal Institute and the International Right of Way Association and has served as an adjunct professor at Texas Christian University.

Ben Loughry, Managing Partner for Integra's Fort Worth office, was the 1999 Charles D. Tandy Award recipient.
