Is New Chair of Greater FW Real Estate Council


Fort Worth, Texas – Ben Loughry, Managing Partner of Integra Realty Resources DFW, has been selected Chairman of the Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council.

The Council is the unified voice for the commercial real estate industry, influencing action and supporting change to accomplish long-term job growth and enhance the quality of life in the Greater Fort Worth area.

Jeff Davis, Republic Title, Todd Burnette, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Tom Struhs have been added to the board of directors. Returning directors are Nina Petty, Tarrant County College and past Chairman; Kenneth Barr, Barr Consulting Company; Thad Brundrett, Brundrett Development Strategies; Linda Christie, Tarrant Regional Water District; Jyl DeHaven, Prism 3 Solutions; J.D. Granger, Trinity River Vision Authority; Rick Jenkins, Texas Exchange Bank; Russell Laughlin, Hillwood; Martin Noto, Community Trust Bank; and David Pettit, Gideon Toal;

Loughry has been an independent fee appraiser since 1981. He has prepared appraisals for mortgage loan purposes on various types of real estate for a variety of clients such as mortgage institutions, employee transfer companies, banks, attorneys, government agencies and utility companies. His appraisal experience includes complex properties such as Reese Air Force Base, Lockheed Facilities in Marietta and Fort Worth, Motorola Fort Worth, the Bell Textron Hurst facility, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, RadioShack corporate campus and the Chesapeake Energy building.
He has acted as consultant in real estate transactions, provided feasibility studies and acted as negotiator in land acquisition cases for government agencies and independent clients. He also served as a Special Commissioner on numerous condemnation hearings and is qualified as an expert witness in several courts.

Loughry’s community and industry service is plentiful. He has served as Chairman of Fort Worth South and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. He was a National Director of the Texas Association of REALTORS and twice a director of the Society of Commercial Realtors of Fort Worth. He served as President of the Central Texas Chapter of Appraisal Institute and the Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS. He has been a member of the Tarrant Appraisal District Review Board and TCU Chancellor’s Advisory Council and an approved instructor for the Texas Real Estate Commission. He has earned the MAI and FRICS designations.

Loughry is a 1970 graduate of Texas Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing.

Struhs has been a Fort Worth developer, general contractor and homebuilder for 28 years. Burnette is the Fort Worth Market Director for Jones Lang LaSalle. Davis is the Chairman of the Board of Republic Title Fort Worth.
