FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 2, 2009 --
PORT TOWNSEND, Wash.--Intellicheck Mobilisa (NYSE Amex: IDN) stated today that it would vigorously defend itself against a recently filed antitrust lawsuit by Eid Passport, Inc. that alleges Intellicheck Mobilisa to have a monopoly in the Driver License Validation Military Market.
Dr. Nelson Ludlow, CEO of Intellicheck Mobilisa, said, “These allegations are frivolous and without merit. Legal and sound business decisions, as well as a commitment to innovation have resulted in the development of our superior driver license reading software. That innovation has also resulted in several patents that cover our driver license validation and verification technologies. These patents provide some exclusive rights under federal intellectual property laws, which we will always uphold and defend. We are pleased that our customers have embraced our innovative products and services."
Intellicheck Mobilisa has been awarded 9 patents and has additional patents pending. Its patented technologies are incorporated into its ID Check® line of commercial products, which are used by many Fortune 500 companies allowing people to apply for credit cards safer, pick up rental cars quicker, get a new bank account easier, and check into a hotel more efficiently. Its patented technologies are also incorporated into its Defense ID® system for secured facilities, which is used at approximately 70 installations, including The US Military Academy at West Point, Andrews Air Force Base, home to Air Force One, and Quantico Marine Corps Base, home of the FBI Training Center. Intellicheck Mobilisa was among the first in the country to produce a Department of Homeland Security ICE approved high-tech ID card reader to protect sea ports.
