FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 24, 2011 --
Unlike many triathlon training websites, www.intelligent-triathlon-training.com does not just sell training programs. It aims to give triathletes the knowledge and understanding they need to make their triathlon training the best it can be. It provides advice and information on all aspects of swim, bike and run training as well as nutrition, strength training and triathlon gear.
Intelligent Triathlon Training Website Launched.
Welcome visit Our WebSite:
http://www.intelligent-triathlon-training.com Intelligent Triathlon Training was developed by husband and wife team, Mark and Rhona Pearce. Both have degrees in sports science and exercise physiology, and have 10 years of experience of applying that knowledge. Mark is a coach for the British Triathlon Olympic programme, whilst Rhona is the Sports Science Manager for the UK’s leading university for sport, with one of her main roles being to provide sport science support to triathletes.
Their understanding of sports science and its application to triathlon is second to none, and their ability to translate this into terminology that even the least scientific person can understand shows through in their website.
Whilst it is a continually developing site, there is already a wealth of useful information available. For example: Training advice and example sessions for swim, bike and run, nutrition for racing and training, a whole section on strength training and injury prevention with lots of video clips of exercises and drills, plus information on physiology and triathlon gear.
There is also a training planner which took Mark a while to develop - but as well as being a skilled coach he is obviously a computer expert, as the spreadsheet is interactive and responds and adjusts to what you input. It is the ideal tool for a triathlete looking to record their aims and goals, as well as plan their training and monitor their performance.
An area currently under development is a section on bike handling skills and transitions. Mark was a junior international cyclist in his day and can still occasionally beat his triathletes on the bike through skill and cunning. There is probably no better person from whom to learn bike skills for triathlon.
Lastly, there will be training programs available to download. Whilst optimal training doesn’t come from a generic programme from a stranger, no matter their pedigree, Rhona and Mark do admit that a broad approach can work, particularly for beginner triathletes.
However, as the Intelligent Triathlon Training website states:
"Training for a triathlon without really understanding what you need to do and why would be like suddenly deciding to build a house with no knowledge of what’s involved."
That’s where Intelligent Triathlon Training comes in – they are the ‘architects’ helping triathletes to be confident that they are choosing the right training plan for their individual needs and goals.
