Hamburg-based Publisher closes the first half of 2011 with a new turnover record

Hamburg, August 9th, 2011 – After INTENIUM GmbH, one of the leading publishers of games for female players in Europe, reported the first quarter 2011 turnover as the most successful in company’s history, the Hamburg publisher shows strong results further on: in the first half of 2011 the turnover grew at double-digit percentage points compared to the same period in 2010. Such an impressive result is the natural consequence of INTENIUM’s clear concentration on the female target audience as well as the investment focus on Casual Multiplayer Online Gaming (CMOG).
“With Alamandi we have obviously caught the consumers’ attention worldwide: right after the start of the game in Russia and Brazil, we welcomed 100 000 active users. We are now looking forward to the launch of Bonga-Online in September that will be accompanied with a 7-digit promo-campaign on TV,” – says Konstantin Nikulin, Founder and Managing Director of INTENIUM.
INTENIUM also reported growth in the licensing business of own products worldwide with the launch of the casual adventure “Sandra Fleming Chronicles: Crystal Skulks” – one more worldwide TOP 10 product in downloadable games portfolio of the company. Likewise, the new Nintendo DS title “Wickie II – Wiedersehen in Flake” cartridges had to be printed in addition even before the official release in the brick & mortar retail because of the high pre-orders.
