Diva Akademy announced today that the International Diva Convention and Diva Plus Model Search will move to Las Vegas, Nevada for Fall, 2010.

Diva Akademy is pleased to announce the return of the most revered and anticipated plus size fashion event of 2010! With 4 months to the kickoff at the "CATWALK", the countdown begins in searching the fashion world for a fresh answer to fashion for women with curves.

The International Diva Plus Convention is the focal point for other plus size events. We are taking back our influence and reign over the fashion industry. That said we are committed to producing runway fashion shows, model search and amazing finale that will inspire other to create fearless fashion. If you are an independent designer, boutique or retailer of plus size fashions and would like to be considered for our event, please register with us.

Fashion designers are starting to look more closely at the earning potential from plus-size clothing, and have used plus-size models for their advertising campaigns and catwalks. We are a huge chunk of the buying power in the mega-billion dollar business that is Fashion said industry insider and event co-producer, Megan J. Nelsam. We have the advantage but because our voice has remained silent in the industry, we have been overlooked. Last year, a very exciting hundred plus retailers, plus designers, entrepreneurs, and nearly two thousand attendees made our event sparkle.
