The blog, which contains business advice, discusses the importance of giving the charities and provides Willms’ personal observations, made the changes in response to extensive tests.

“All of our split testing told us that readers preferred the new look and feel of JesseWillms.com ,” Willms said. “I use split testing in my businesses, so it made sense to apply the same standards to my blog.”

Split testing is a way for people and companies to figure out what makes readers respond to a web page. Several versions of a site are created, each one offering the information in a slightly different manner.

Once the test sites are launched, site administrators monitor how many people click through the pages on the site, how long they stay on each page and whether or not they return. They compare the results of the different pages over a period of time to see which one works best.

“The truth is, you can never tell how the public will react to a given page until it's gone live,” Willms said. “Just because it looks better to the web designer doesn't mean it will perform better in the wild.”

The new site will make it easier for people to find the articles they want by sorting through different subject headings. It also has new colors and fonts to make it more visually appealing and easier to read.

Jesse Willms’ blog has been very popular since it was launched earlier this year, as many wanted to hear what the Internet marketing master has to say.
