Internet Radio Station Launches Social Network and New Motivational Shows

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 9, 2010 -- Motivational Radio has launched its new website, which includes a social network community for its listeners.

With its new site, listeners can join the Motivational Radio community. Members can customize their profile with photos, favorite videos, and music; create a blog; and talk with fellow listeners with its special chat feature. Similar to other social networks, members can add friends, search for people, and comment on others’ blogs. The community also features a forum, groups, and article directory. To listen to shows from your home computer or your mobile phone, Motivational radio has its own browser toolbar, a desktop app, and an iPhone app.

“We created a membership site for our listeners to have a place for business directory listings and socialising. We also wanted a better system for the publishing of shows, and as we had delved into many systems, this stood out for radio needs,” says Lisa Lomas, Assistant Station Manager. “We have a like page but it is limited; this is why we expanded to a social networking platform come membership site. It gives all our content a home and gives us control of the content easily.”

In August 2009, Motivational Radio introduced its free radio station featuring Internet news, music, and education. Its focus was to create an online learning platform for people searching how to navigate the Internet and how to start an online business.

Motivational Radio broadcasts live internationally. Show times run twice daily: from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. New Zealand local time, and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST in North America. The station features interviews from experts in a variety of fields such as music, Internet business, personal success, wellness, and healthy living.

Motivational radio features several shows including new musical artists; Inspirational Hour with special guests and rebroadcast of Marvelous Mondays with Harry Shade and Phil Gorman; and Business Tips with Deremiah *CPE. Health and Wellness talk shows feature Goddess Spirituality with Tetka Rhu; the Dr. Karen show; and Healthy Shots with Coach Cher.

"We are experiencing phenomenal growth, with many experts coming up and running quality shows. I wanted to give the experts a place to create quality content to get more publicity,” says Anthony Hosking, Station Manager and Founder. “I have always liked the idea of having a community, and I would like to get to know more of our listeners if possible. We have something very unique and international. We are fast on our way to be #1. I have always liked helping others; this is my dream!"

Since August 2009, the station has added new shows, featuring expert interviews, and has plans to include a talkback segment for listeners to give their views. The station's listeners have grown to 400,000 with an increase in visitors every broadcast.

The Motivational Radio team is searching for experts in all fields. The station's focus is to provide information such as how to navigate the Internet safely, Internet marketing, online business, health and wellness, and music entertainment.
