(Free-Press-Release.com) February 15, 2012 -- Private Equity activities in Central and Eastern Europe was quite low
at the end of January 2012. One of the largest transactions were the
management buy-out by Krokus Private Equity of Lotos Parafiny. Lotos
Parafiny is the largest paraffin producer and distributor in Poland
known under the brand name POLWAX. The management buyout was made
possible through Krokus Chem Sp. Z.o.o. which acquired Lotos Parafiny
from the LOTOS Group.

Malev, Hungary's national carrier may follow suit as talks of its

acquisition are under way. Its acquisition is currently being
discussed with the National Development Industry. Vueling, a
subsidiary of Iberia, has set its eyes on purchasing the distressed
airline company. If all goes well, the board of directors at Veuling
may decide to go ahead with the purchase.

Meanwhile, Lead Equities supported a the acquistion of MCL-Group in a
MBO. This investment is expected to improve MCL-Group's product and
service offerings as well as strengthen its sales team. The MCL-Group
is an IT company based in Germany.

In Romania Twitter acquired Summify which is seen as an acquisition of
talent rather than a purely business transaction. Summify is a startup
company based in Romania which uses social analytic data to create
news for individuals. The said news shall be sent to its subscribers
through their mobile phone or by mail.

Talk about growth and expansion, EPAM Systems has announced its IPO
which will be underwritten by Citigroup, Barclay's Capital,
Renaissance Securities of Moscow and UBS Investment Bank. Proceeds
from the IPO shall be used for future acquisitions and general

corporate expenses. Initial offering price shall be between USD16 to
USD18.
