Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance Welcomes Stephen White

Stephen White joins Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance team

Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance (’Investec’), part of Investec Specialist Private Bank, continues to expand its team with the appointment of Stephen White, who joins from Barclays.

Stephen will work with Ed Cottrell and the team to originate and execute deals with entrepreneurs, management teams and private equity firms in order to provide finance to mid-market companies looking to borrow between £5 million and £30 million. The team’s focus on strong management teams and high calibre businesses means that it has continued to lend and grow throughout the economic downturn, including Investec’s recent involvement in the finance of Snow & Rock, Brandon Hire and EAT.

Stephen joined Barclays in 2005 and transferred into Barclays Leveraged Finance Financial Sponsors in 2007. In 2009 he helped to establish a dedicated Financial Sponsors Portfolio team and since then he has had primary responsibility for numerous leveraged finance transactions as well as being involved in portfolio activity such as light touch restructuring, refinancing, waivers and consents.
