IOWA LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE REQUESTS WIND TURBINE TRAINER DEMO

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 10, 2010 -- IOWA Lakes Community College invites Lotus Creative Innovations to demonstrate its “Wind Turbine Trainer”Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 8:00 am.

Engineer and Iowa Lakes Community College Graduate, Ashish Gavali states, “I am looking forward to demonstrating my “Wind Turbine Trainer” to my former college. It was there I realized there was a large need for a teaching tool that helped students learn about building and servicing commercial wind turbines inside the classroom.”

Wind Energy is the fastest growing source of renewable energy and Iowa Lakes Community College is meeting those demands by offering the first and only hands on two year Associate in Applied Science program in Iowa state. The college was also featured in a national Duracell commercial along with actual Iowa Lakes Community College wind technician students this past January promoting Duracell's role in renewable energy with their rechargeable batteries.

“We will be demonstrating our Wind Turbine Trainer to show how our product can be used to teach wind energy in renewable energy programs.” Said Arvind Gavali, Lotus Creative Innovations’ Director of Sales.”This Wind Turbine Trainer can also be used in Mechanical Engineering and other areas of similar study.”

The Wind Turbine Trainer is specially designed for students. The trainer is the first scaled down version of a commercial wind turbine. It teaches basic electro-mechanical aspects of how a real wind turbine operates. The trainer features a see through gear box giving students a view of how a wind turbine functions, along with a wireless camera which allows unlimited smart room patch in capabilities.
