FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Milton, Delaware, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 25, 2012 -- After the iPhone 4S provided an incremental update over the iPhone 4, we know that the next iPhone will be a major redesign. Details beyond that aren’t known, but we may have just gotten a peek.

A report has the iPhone 5 (or whatever Apple calls it) being nearly ready for production in Foxconn’s Chinese plants. There are actually several sample models being produced, which means Apple is either a) keeping a few options open, or b) trying to throw off potential leakers.

The sample iPhones all have several things in common. They all have displays that are four inches or larger. They are also all symmetrical in thickness, unlike the rumors about a “teardrop design” that we heard last year. None of the sample iPhones look like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, and none are the final versions.

Perhaps the biggest news to come out of this leak, though, relates to launch timing. Following previous patterns, this stage of the production process would put the iPhone 5 in line for a summer release. This would return the device to its previous slot, and would arrive only eight or nine months after the launch of the iPhone 4S.

Would Apple risk ticking off its iPhone 4S customers with a huge upgrade coming just months after they signed a new two-year contract? This wouldn’t likely be a deal-breaker. Apple knows that many of those customers would (perhaps grudgingly) pay extra for an early upgrade or buy off-contract if the iPhone 5 marks a revolutionary redesign with hot new features.

Though you can never know which leaks are legit until Apple makes its announcement, this is from a Foxconn source who predicted the iPhone 4S last summer, when everyone else was foreseeing an iPhone 5. That doesn’t necessarily mean that this one is 100% legit, but it doesn’t hurt its credibility. http://quickbiznet.com/vworker.html
