ISO 27001 Certification for NCDR with ISPIN – Swiss Made Security

ISPIN MEA is pleased to announce the recent successful ISO 27001 Certification for the Ministry of Presidential Affairs National Centre for Documentation and Research (NCDR) .The certification hand over ceremony was held in Ministry of Presidential Affairs in Abu Dhabi on 14th June 2010 in the palace. High Officials from the Ministry and from NCDR were present in the grand ceremony. NCDR is the national custodian for all archives holding documents related to the history of the United Arab Emirates and their international relations and national heritage. NCDR has established practices, policies and processes to ensure these records are archived according to international standards of preservation in order to keep them safe and secure for future generations.

We had effectively supported NCDR throughout the process of establishing ISO 27001. Highest security standards were implemented for the whole organization at all levels. ISO/IEC 27001, part of the growing ISO/IEC 27000 series of standards, is an information security management system standard published in October 2005 by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The ISO27k standards provide generally accepted good practice guidance on information security management systems designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information content and systems.
