It's Clean Instant Hand Sanitizer now available in select Bed, Bath & Beyond stores

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 24, 2009 -- It's Clean USA, a Chicago based manufacturer of infection control products, announced today that their It's Clean brand Bio-based Instant Hand Sanitizer products will be available for purchase in select Bed, Bath and Beyond stores, beginning in August, 2009.

The corn ethanol based hand sanitizer will be sold in 4 ounce, and 2 ounce bottles. The advanced, bio-based formulation is designed to be gentle on the skin, and contains moisturizers, and vitamins A and E, to prevent the skin from feeling dry. It features a clean, fresh scent that doesn't contain the alcohol stench of other hand sanitizers.

“This is a great opportunity for us, and we believe that Bed Bath and Beyond customers will enjoy having a healthy alternative to other hand sanitizers that are made from petroleum based alcohol”, said company CEO, Lucher Holloway.

The Centers for Disease Control has noted in the OPRP General Information on Hand Hygiene document, that “if alcohol-based hand antiseptics are used, ethanol-based products should be considered over isopropanol-based products.” The document continues, “In general, ethanol-based hand antiseptics appear to have greater antimicrobial activity against viruses than isopropanol-based hand antiseptics...”

It's Clean USA hand sanitizer is available at the following Bed Bath & Beyond stores in northern Illinois: Downers Grove, Naperville, Geneva, Dekalb, Vernon Hills, Oswego, and Willowbrook.
