Since this summer,the supply of power is not enough due to dry weather. The power contradiction in Guangxi appeared a severe power shortage in a red warning signal, the maximum demand of electricity power shortage about 30%.

Lin Boqiang said that we should increase the capacity of installed machinery and improve the configuration to deal with the power shortage. We should take the situation of long-term drought into account and increase capacity of installed machinery. According to the statistics of Guangxi Power Grid,the total power capacity is 25.33 million kilowatts,14.94 million kilowatts hydropower, thermal power 10.39 million kilowatts.

Cement and other high energy-consumption industries are major consumers of electricity in Guangxi.The commission of industrial development and information technology show that total electricity consumption is 73.341 billion kw/h from January to August.Among them, the first industrial power is 1.353 billion kw/h; second industrial power is 54.553 billion kw/h; tertiary industry is 6.038 billion kw/h.The proportion of aluminum smelting,iron alloy smelting consumption is high and the power consumption is rising in the industrial electricity.
