It's ok to be proud to be British - I've just met plenty of people who are ready to say it!

I think about this every day - how is it an American like Brad (as in the above comment he gave when viewing We Are The Brits) can be proud to be an American and proud of his British roots when we scoff at people in our country who say they are proud to be British or it's thought to be cheesy or backward.

I just found out last time that the Aussies are not allowed to celebrate Christmas in their schools - has the world gone absolutely stark staring mad? Every other country in the world except English-speaking countries can celebrate their customs and traditions - we have to stop apologising for being who we are!

Our kids are not taught in schools about how great Britain was or still is - how will they ever develop pride in their identity when they don't even know what it is.

A freelance reporter/DJ wrote this on hearing 'The Brits' -There are so many news stories these days about Britain’s problems; it is so refreshing to be given a song which celebrates British achievements and tells us that Britain has been, and most importantly still is, Great. 'We Are The Brits' is for all of us, and reminds us that we are one with the servicemen and women who fight on our behalf every day.

It's time to get patriotic my friends and shout out to the world 'We're the Brits, You better get used to it...' The new fad of 'haters' need to be shown that they will be ignored by the majority and no-one is interested in their belittling attacks. Just take 4 minutes to watch this video that celebrates us and see if something doesn't stir deep down inside.....


To bring it back we need to all make a resounding shout out - We're British and proud of it! Are you ready.....
