http://www.thisiswatercooler.com "It was a great opportunity to reach out to a company that has a unique product that may be starting the category," said Terry Ayrault, Creative Director at Watercooler. "We knew we had to do something unique to get the company's attention and I like to think we did."
Fresh Balls is a product that truly describes what it does. It's a cream for your...well...your private man parts, that goes on like a liquid then turns into an aluminum-free and alcohol-free talc that actually keeps you feeling fresh and dry "down there" all day long. It's produced in tubes by So Fresh, So Dry, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV and distributed to stores carrying beauty supplies and men's hygiene products nationwide.
The video, entitled, "Massingil Moment" is :50 seconds in length. In it, two men talk seriously about the pitfalls of feeling uncomfortable and sticky. Then, one man turns the other on to the benefits of Fresh Balls. Even offering a tube of it in the end. It is all very campy and reminiscent of those women's hygiene commercials we had to endure in the 70's and 80's.
"We shot the four videos for Fresh Balls in one day," said Ayrault. "When we edited them, we actually thought we had a couple of winners. It was really fun to work and it was a real challenge not to go too far. We found our sweet spot with "Massingil Moment."
Ayrault appears in the video himself as the expert on Fresh Balls. His cohort is played by Jamie McCarthy.
"When you're working on your own budget, sometimes you have to bite the bullet and put yourself out there. It's just the way it works," said Ayrault.
The videos were shot by Tom Gurisko, a local Detroit director known for his successful horror shorts and his online sensation, "Snippy," a claymation character with his own viral following.
"This was a lot of fun," said Gurisko. "I think the online video format allows you to be more edgy with content and more creative with dialogue."
