Its Just the Beginning

Young girls, embellished in beautiful graduation dresses, smiling and laughing with their friends, awaiting the proud moment to be called on the stage , and to be gifted the title of a ˜Graduate'.

Graduation as we all know is a universal event that everyone encounters someday in his or her life. Its is an gesture of acknowledgment received by a student. It is an educational function where students get their academic degree and become ˜graduates' from graduands. The day this celebration is held is often called the ˜graduation day'. Graduation is also known as commencement, convocation or invocation.

Every student and especially the girls make sure that they pick out the perfect graduation dress and stand out in the crowd on their graduation day. In the University of Cambridge when the graduands obtain their BA degree is called the general admission and promptly referred to by the year they graduated in. However, in the United States and Canada, graduation can be referred to the progression from a primary or secondary school level.

When we talk about graduation from the primary or middle school, the eminent event not only entertains the graduating students but also indulge the faculty and staff,making them an important part of the memorable day. And it is not only the girls who get decked in their beautiful 8th grade graduation dresses ,that they took hours to select, but their teachers as well choose the ideal dress for the occasion.

The happenings and traditions of a graduation ceremony may differ from country to country. But the academic dress or the graduation dresses for the girls and tuxedos for the boys, in most of the western countries, is the commonly worn attire.

May it be college or high school, there will be a time when graduation will be around the corner and girls would be getting hysterical ,worried about what graduation dress they should wear ,pushing their panic button in order to look the prettiest on this big day. They'd be sitting on one of the seats in their beautiful 8th grade graduation dresses, anxiously waiting for the administrator to read out your name from the never ending list of graduates.

You might look around as you sit waiting for your name to be called out. The pretty faces that made your eight years of school memorable, beautiful friends of yours adorned in classy graduation dresses, the nerds preparing their speeches, even the tomboys you knew wore elegant 8th grade graduation dressed. An event to remember indeed.And as Orrin Hatch says:

œThere is a good reason that they call these ceremonies ˜commencement exercises', Graduation is not the end, it's the beginning.
