Jack Zenger -World Renowned Author, Speaker, and Thought Leader- Celebrates 80th Birthday

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 8, 2011 -- SALT LAKE CITY, 07 Nov. 2011- On November 19th, Salt Lake City will be celebrating the 80th birthday of one Utah’s more notable citizens. John H. "Jack" Zenger is considered a world expert in the field of leadership development.

Jack Zenger’s birthday will be celebrated in grand, magical style! The celebration will take place at Grand America in Salt Lake City and is being sponsored by Zenger-Folkman (a professional services firm providing consulting, leadership development programs co-founded by Jack in 2005). The guest list includes Dallin H. Oaks, Governor Herbert, and many other notable authors, business and civic leaders. The theme, “The Magic of Jack,” is a nod to Jack’s long-time passion for the art form. “This is going to be a grand event for a grand human being,” says Susan Christensen, the event planner.

In 1977, Jack co-founded Zenger-Miller and served as its President and CEO until 1991. The Wall St. Journal named Zenger-Miller one of the 10 best suppliers of executive development. Jack later became the President of Provant, a publicly traded combination of 21 companies in the training industry. In 2007, his colleagues in the training industry awarded him the "Thought Leadership Award." In 2011, Jack was honored with the American Society of Training and Development's Lifetime Achievement Award. Jack was also inducted into the Human Resources Development Hall of Fame for his contributions to the field of leadership development and training. Jack has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Utah Valley University and is currently serving as a Regent for the higher education system in the State of Utah.

Joe Folkman, President and co-founder of Zenger Folkman, will be acting as Master of Ceremonies for the celebration event and says that “Jack is a notable leader and mentor in his field and his accomplishments over these past eighty years are worthy of a great celebration. Jack will continue to do great work; I do not see him slowing down any time soon. We are all just trying to keep up.”

Jack and his wife Holly have been married for 32 years. They are parents to 10 children and their spouses, 35 grandchildren, and 2 grandchildren in-laws. They reside in Midway, Utah.
