This is the second consecutive time the Jaguar XF has achieved top honors from the reputed Automobile Magazine.

Backing up last year’s All-Stars win, where the XF sedan actually took the outright top total votes of any car invited to compete among the experts at AUTOMOBILE Magazine, this year marks an even greater achievement. “Any car that wins two years in a row is a significant winner,” says AUTOMOBILE Magazine Executive Editor Joe DeMatio. “The competition is very stiff. To win two years in a row is an even bigger accomplishment against all-new cars like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and prior winners like the BMW 5-series.

This year, the XF and the new supercharged 510-hp XFR ultra-sports model drew the following test notes: “Provides a lot of performance without asking a lot of its driver on a daily basis, unlike some high-performance sedans which can be off-putting.” In addition, testers noted “it transforms itself from a very comfortable luxury sedan to a racetrack-ready, forgiving, rewarding car.”
