James Hooks Announces "American Credit Start" Non-Profit Organization

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 10, 2009 -- James Hooks, entrepreneur, consultant and writer of the upcoming book, “Suicide” (http://www.jameshooks.com), today announced a nationwide non-profit program that will provide education and tools to high school seniors about responsible financial management.

Education and tools will initially include easy to read online resources and free handbooks, and eventually grow to seminars nationwide.

"With the nation facing its biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression, we felt this was the call to action to begin teaching our youth the proper way to handle their finances," said James Hooks, chairman and founder of American Credit Start. "Thinking beyond our own backyard, we decided to reach out across America and assist schools to help children improve their lives, for they are our future. And our financial futures are in their hands.

"Moving forward, our goal is to eventually make a financial responsibility course mandatory for all outgoing high school seniors, so they enter the 'adult world' fully knowledgeable on how to manage their credit score, or balance a check book."

Currently, James Hooks supports a number of charities, including The Ronald McDonald House, American Cancer Society, and (Red). The announcement of the new web initiative for American Credit Start is forthcoming.
