The celebrity chef already has fifteen outlets in the United Kingdom, but this will be his first attack into the international market. Oliver has turned his attention to international markets since last year. It was reported that he and partner Tranic Ltd were seeking $22 million over 2009 and 2010 from private investors with intention to help fund 30 Italian restaurants across Southeast Asia.

Jamie Oliver explains that it is about Italian restaurant. He is fascinated from the diversity of lifestyles, traditions, dialects, and of course, the cooking in Italy and admits that all this things made him fell in love in this country. There he found the inspiration to create “Jamie’s Italian”. The guests will have the pleasure to enjoy in three - level venue with seats for 290 people, in authentic Italian ambience. The restaurant has a pasta bar – every day there will be made fresh pasta, and the main dining area will comprise the antipasti and dessert counters.

The basic intention of the Oliver’s appearing is good at its basis, but his name was often related with a lot of controversy. Many times he has come across with the criticism from the public and probably the most controversial accusation was the one from the parents of the fat American children. They were truly revolted against Oliver's lunch plan that included two portions of fruit and three vegetables every day of the week, defending the right of every child to eat what he wants.
