Jan Goldman of Kitchen Elements Enters National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Design Competition

Olney, Maryland, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 1, 2011 -- Jan Goldman, owner of Kitchen Elements, has entered two kitchen designs in the annual Design Competition held by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). The competition is open to all members of the association, allowing designers nationwide to submit their work, which can be entered into one main category and several sub-categories, if appropriate. The designs are judged on creativity, functionality and other factors.

The Kitchen Elements designs were submitted in the Medium Kitchen and Large Kitchen categories for two families living in Montgomery County, Maryland and Northwest Washington, DC.

The Medium Kitchen remodel was part of a whole-house renovation of a family’s home. The family craved feelings of spaciousness and freedom in the existing, restrictive kitchen and the completed kitchen satisfied their desires through thoughtful, creative solutions and an integrated design.

The Large Kitchen remodel transformed another family's kitchen and table area significantly, and revitalized the outdated look and feel of the cabinets and countertops. After having lived with the incongruous kitchen for many years, the family decided to invest in a kitchen that would seamlessly integrate with the rest of the home. The resulting kitchen exceeded their expectations and positively impacted the family’s home and their lives.

"Entering two carefully chosen kitchens into the NKBA contest was exciting," states Jan Goldman. "My team and I are proud of our work and wanted to show the 'world' the attractive, functional kitchens we're designing and installing for our clients."

Entries will be judged during the next few months and winners will be announced at the NKBA Design Competition Awards Ceremony, held at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in April 2012.
