JASON DUNNE JOINS MEDVANCE INSTITUTE, PORT ST. LUCIE AS DIRECTOR OF NURSING

LUCIE, Fla. – (February 2, 2012) – MedVance Institute, a leading healthcare career training provider, has announced the appointment of Jason Dunne, BN, RN, MN, as director of nursing for the Port St. Lucie campus. In this role, Dunne will oversee and supervise student course work, facilitate development of new programs, and work with community clinical partners to expand campus relationships within the healthcare industry.

Dunne previously served as dean of Health Sciences for three years at NorQuest College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a community college with 10,000 students and multiple campuses. His prior experiences include serving as coordinator of the Practical Nurse program at the same college, a position similar to his new appointment at MedVance.

“The personalized nursing experience offered at this campus as well as the opportunity for me to teach was a major impetus for accepting this position,” said Dunne. “I am happily anticipating meeting all 125 students in the program and seeing firsthand the positive outcome of MedVance’s nursing education.”

Dunne received his Bachelor of Nursing at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada in 2000, and Master of Nursing from Athabasca University in Alberta. Currently he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Education online from Northcentral University in Arizona.
