JEFF OWEN ARTWORKS Announces Jeff Owen Sculptures were Accepted to Exhibition

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 7, 2010 -- JEFF OWEN ARTWORKS announces that Jeff Owen’s sculptures, Struggle III and Collecteur de Bruit et de Silence (Collector of Noise and Silence) have been accepted to the Los Gatos Art Association Statewide Open Juried Exhibition.

The Guest Selection Jurors were: Marcia Burtt, Santa Barbara Acrylic Plein Air Artist, Katherine Levin-Lau, Oil Figure Artist, and David Middlebrook, Sculptor, former San Jose State University Professor. The artworks will be judged for awards by the Guest Awards Juror, Paul Kratter, Moraga Plein Air Artist and workshop instructor.

The sculptures will be on exhibition from March 25 to April 24, 2010 at the Museums of Los Gatos, 4 Tait Ave, Los Gatos from Wednesday to Sunday, 1 PM to 4 PM. A portion of the sales price may be considered a donation to The Museums of Los Gatos.

Jeff Owen’s sculptures have won awards in Carmel Sculpture in the Park statewide competition and Palm Springs Museum National Exhibition, and more recently, commissioned by Gerdau Ameristeel to create a super bowl sculpture honoring the achievements of the Green Bay Packers. Jeff Owen strives to create sculptures that are unique, something no one has created before. He resists conformity and mass production. His art is as individual as he is.
