FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Newark, New Jersey, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 10, 2012 --

Jennifer Modica and her son Jonathan were diagnosed with ADD. While struggling to understand her 8-yr-old son's difficulties in school, Jennifer Modica enrolled him in a local Tae Kwon Do program. "Jonathan wasn't interested in sports because he disliked the competition and physical aspects, so I thought martial arts would be a good fit for him. By the time he earned his yellow belt (early 2009) The ADD diagnosis hit home. As Jonathan earned higher and higher belts, Jennifer noticed his ADD symptoms on the decline with discipline and self-confidence rising. He was getting accolades from his school teacher and TKD masters. Jennifer thought, "I sure could use some discipline like that!" So she joined her son's Dojang and quickly learned that TKD is truly a liberating force. "It's a structured activity that makes you hyperfocus on your form, and every class feels like a vacation for my brain. Using mind-body disciplines, I have seen with my own eyes how TKD addresses the short attention span of ADD children and ADD adults alike."

Jonathan received his black belt in October 2010. Jennifer calls her son "my inspiration," and plans to continue her intense TKD training indefinitely. She just became a "Red Belt," so she is well on her way. "At this rate, I should earn my black belt by the end of 2012, about the same time that I will become certified as an ADD Coach!"
