JetBlue Flight Attendants Association Plans Lawsuit Against The JetBlue Airways Corporation
JBFA Warns of Pending Class Action Employment Discrimination Lawsuit
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 17, 2009 --
JBFA, the JetBlue Flight Attendants Association, announces today their plan to sue the JetBlue Airways Corporation in a class action court case for employment discrimination (against Inflight Crewmembers/Flight Attendants) as a result of a recent compensation announcement and discriminatory pay practices between “flight crews” initiated earlier this year.
The JBFA website states that "the JetBlue Airways Corporation has engaged in deceptive, unfair and excessively discriminatory employment practices against Inflight Crewmembers (Flight Attendants) as it relates to their pay vs. other “above the wing” operational Crewmembers. This discrimination is a violation of the Federal Equal Pay Act of 1963."
The JBFA serves as an independent, open and honest organization that allows JetBlue Inflight Crewmembers to express their concerns, and make their voices heard free of management hassle or intimidation. The JBFA is working to ensure the best form of representation between the Inflight Crewmembers and JetBlue Airways.
