Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada - Tal Brody to hold court in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 18, 2011 -- LAS VEGAS, February 9, 2011 - The JCCSN has announced a FREE BASKETBALL clinic and motivational talk, presented by Tal Brody. In a jointly sponsored event, the JCCSN along with the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas, and Desert Torah Academy, will host the following:

Date: Wednesday, Feb 23, 2011
Where: Chabad of Las Vegas / Desert Torah Academy, gymnasium (1312 Vista Dr. 89102)
What: Basketball Clinic and Motivational Talk
When: 5:00 pm - clinic for kids 12 AND UNDER
6:00 pm - clinic for all ages

7:00 pm - Motivational speech about Mr. Brody's incredible successful journey

Mr. Brody will talk about his personal experiences and accomplishments from the University of Illinois as an All American, to top draft pick in 1965 for the Baltimore Bullets, to Brody leading the US Basketball Maccabia team to a gold medal. Brody was the first sportsman to be awarded the Israel Prize, the country's highest civilian honor. In September 2008, Mr. Brody was named by the New York Times as one of the “Top 10 Most Influential Americans to Impact Israel."

Since his retirement, Tal Brody has become Israel’s official Goodwill Ambassador and has devoted countless hours to positively influence the lives of at risk youth.

Mr. Brody is a moving and motivational speaker who offers audiences an inspirational account of leadership, Zionism, and triumph.

This event will be free, and open to the community, but clinic participants must register in advance by calling the JCCSN at 702-794-0090.
