Jimmy Kang Takes Over as VP of Wu tang Management

Wu Tang Management proudly announces the addition of new Vice President Jimmy Kang to the staff. The producer, CEO and founder of Str8 Up Entertainment has made significant accomplishments with only 7 years in the music industry. Originally from Seoul, Korea and raised in Los Angeles, Jimmy later moved to Massachusetts to pursuit a hockey career which would later spawn into a transition to the music industry. Jimmy is known for his perceptive business skills and being able to adapt to his surroundings regardless of the environment. His first introduction to the music industry came through Krumbsnatcha (an artist), who was then affiliated with legendary rap group Gang Starr.

After learning the ropes of the underground scene Jimmy would go on to develop Str8 Up Entertainment while assisting Krumbsnatcha with the creation his own label in the process (W.O.L.V.E.S. Ent.), produce “Krumbsnatcha Classics” and “Hate Me More”. He later signed Special Teamz (Edo G. Jaysaun & Slaine) and released the hit underground single ‘Main Event’ by DJ Premier followed by a successful album, Special Teamz (The MIxtape). After earning 7 awards at the ‘MIC Awards’, Jimmy was then offered a project from WPE Music distributed by Universal which would then give him an introduction to the corporate side of the industry. From this Jimmy gained respect as a innovator within the New England hip hop market.

Since then Jimmy has been nominated ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’, listed by Pulse Magazine as one of the 26 to watch out for in 2006, produced shows in the New England area with artsists including G Unit, Rocafella, Dip Set, Wu Tang, Def Squad, Bad Boy while managing the hottest entertainment complex in Central Massachusetts ( Canal Lounge), allowing those who are local in the industry to network with the majors. Jimmy now looks forward to working with Wu Tang Management CEO John “Mook” Gibbons to master his understanding of the music industry and make Wu Tang Management a monumental entity within the industry.
