JOBS for the HOLIDAYS - matches employers with job seekers

Jobs for the Holidays - A different way to celebrate Labor Day weekend. Given our current economy, we want to mark Labor Day 2010 with a program to try and help 10,000 Americans find jobs before Thanksgiving. That comes out to about 125 people per day.

There's 80 days between Monday, September 6, 2010 and Thursday, Noevember 25, 2010. Jobs for the Holidays is a help service created by Ones We Love where employers are invited to post jobs and review videos of potential candidates. We've created a system for job seekers to upload a video of their interview for the jobs posted.

Our access access to friends that own companies gave us this idea. We know they hire people for part-time or seasonal jobs. We're just trying to accelerate the process to get them hired sooner. Even if they bring a person on for one extra week, that could be the difference in them enjoying Thanksgiving dinner or going to a food bank.

We doing what we can to connect unemployed Americans with jobs at great companies owned by friends and sponsors. If we as Americans are going to be strong again, it’s going to take more than just our program. Hopefully other organizations with more resources can take what we started and make it better, so more people can benefit from our idea.

The Jobs for the Holidays runs from Monday (Labor Day) until Thursday (Thanksgiving Day).

We're doing this for several reasons:
•Thousands are out of work. Our goal is to identify 10,000 people and introduce them to business owners who are looking for help.
•We're really looking to help people who've been unemployed for a year or longer so they can have a better holiday season in 2010.
•This is one way we can help stimulate the economy. By helping people land a job, it can be the catalyst to stimulate our economy.

•Our mission is to "Make Life Better for Others". Even if we can only help one person, that's one more person who's now employed.
