Lost in all the recent discussions coming from the media is the importance of the upcoming U.S. Senate race. Current media attention and energy is being expended focusing on the upcoming presidential election, with little to zero coverage of the upcoming election of a new freshman Senator from Minnesota. February 7, 2011 is caucus night. Your participation as a concerned citizen is necessary.

It may sound like a cliché. But this election could possibly be written into the history books as the defining election of our lifetime. This will be an election for the heart and soul of our country. Our choice will be one of an all-encompassing cradle to grave government who will make choices for you while you do not have a seat at the table or embracing personal liberty and free markets.

Before you vote for anyone, Democrat, Republican or other ask yourself the following questions. You might find it’s long overdue to pick “the other guy.”

Are you better off today than you were six or seven years ago? Do you have a positive outlook for the direction of our economy? Do you think the current politicians represent you and the beliefs of your family? If you answered no to anyone of those questions or all three, your voice can cause a change. By attending your local caucus on Feb. 7th you can get active and become a part of the process of taking back your ability to control your life and keep more of your own money.

If you’ve voted in favor for the DFL, success dictates that you “must” vote another way, locally in 2012!

The presidential race is not the “be all, end all” in this year's election. The choice you make for senator is equally as important. Not defeating Amy Klobuchar is not an option. The re-election of Amy Klobuchar to a second term continues the rubber-stamping of whatever radical agenda Klobuchar dreams up for Minnesota’s poor, homeless, business owners and working citizens. Sometimes, radical liberal agendas are never about the people, as demonstrated since Amy’s been in office.

"Minnesotans must unite in the common goal of unseating Amy Klobuchar, if celebrity status is what Amy needs, she can always move to Hollywood and run for office there," says Arwood.
