(Free-Press-Release.com) March 19, 2010 -- Joe Wilde Company, Inc. was one of over 50 contractors that donated materials as part of the Homes For Our Troops project for injured war veteran Jason Schultz. The company installed a garage door and opener in the new home that was presented to US Army Specialist Jason and his wife this past Saturday. Homes For Our Troops is a national non-profit organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans. The homes provided by Homes for Our Troops are given at NO COST to the Veterans served.

SPC Jason was returning from a routine vehicle recovery mission in November 2007 when the vehicle he was riding in struck an IED in Iraq. The blast ripped through the door on the right side of the truck where Schulz was seated, resulting in the loss of both of his legs. Since this tragic event, Jason has been going through continuous physical therapy and rehabilitation. In 2009, Shultz was selected by Homes for our Troops to receive a handicap accessible house built in his hometown of Eagle, WI to help him better live with his disability. Chris Teifke, president and owner of Joe Wilde Company, was on hand Saturday when the keys were presented to Jason in Eagle. “I am happy to have been able to help out this young man who served his country and had a difficult, life altering experience as a result. What was really remarkable is that my installers offered to donate their labor on this project, even though their own earnings have suffered as a result of the economy. That was just awesome, and was a great way to be able to thank Jason for his service.”
