Fairfield, New Jersey - 2010 marks the 25th year in business for John Guest® USA, Inc., the North American sales and distribution operation of John Guest Ltd., the world leader in push-in fittings, tube and plastic plumbing systems and fluid control products, headquartered in England.
Located in Fairfield, NJ, the company operates a 46, 541 sq. ft. facility housing administration, operations and warehousing, and employs 36.
John Guest USA supplies over 1,000 SKUs to industrial plumbing, retail and OEM customers across North America, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. The company has sold over 434 million fittings to customers during the past quarter-century in business here in the U.S.
“25 years is quite a milestone for John Guest USA,” says Stan Artman, President of Sales & Marketing for U.S. operations. “The American market for our products continues to grow. Plumbing and heating – a relatively new market for us – looks especially promising because we offer top quality products which are lead free or low lead.”
For the residential and light commercial plumbing market, Speedfit fittings are used in hot/cold water services, hydronic heating systems and radiant in-floor heating systems.
In addition to plumbing, John Guest USA services two other major markets: water filtration and automotive.
The John Guest Standard Line of Push-In Fittings, Valves and Tubing is supplied to the water purification-treatment market for potable water and other fluid applications in homes, restaurants and industry. Drinks dispensing and
beverage services also use Speedfit fittings. John Guest is the dominant brand used in the water quality market.
Many of John Guest’s product applications involve its Speedfit® push-fit fittings, an advanced push-fit fitting system made of high quality engineered plastic that employs a fail-safe twist & lock technology. Speedfit’s unique collet locking system, with stainless steel teeth, and EPDM O-ring, ensures leak free connections. Speedfit products don’t require any tools for installation.
For the U.S. automotive OEM market, John Guest USA has long supplied connectors used in fuel, brake vacuum, air suspension and low-pressure power steering systems to major domestic auto manufacturers like Ford Motor Company.
